522. GIFTS
1.
Authority
Students, parents/guardians, and patron organizations of the district shall be
discouraged from the presentation of gifts to district-employed personnel. This
policy shall not be construed to prevent district-recognized organizations from
presenting gifts to those district employees who are officially designated as the
representative of their school.
2.
Delegation of
Responsibility
The Superintendent may approve acts of generosity to individual staff members in
unusual situations but shall report such instances to the Board on a timely basis.
